Sunday Burgers
Today I decided to make my own veggie burgers.
Not because I’m too poor and busy to grocery shop
Or that I mind eating dinners of potatoes and hot chocolate
Or because of the amount of time I spend going to the library, not to write papers but because we’re out of toilet paper, has kept me from doing homework.
But because I read a blog post last night about homemade vegan burgers.
UNFORTUNATELY, I never follow recipes precisely.
Not because I don’t like following directions
Or because I’m lazy,
But because I find it more satisfying to experiment
[not so fun when brownies taste like beans].
